Municipal Wastewater
Municipalities worldwide are faced with wastewater challenges due to population growth, changing regulations, failing infrastructure or outdated technology. Our membrane bioreactor modules and systems provide reliable, energy-efficient performance to meet the necessary demands for water discharge and reuse, including tertiary treatment. Effluents of our wastewater treatment systems comply with strict discharge limits, as well as water reuse targets.
Ideal for:
• Municipal wastewater
Drinking Water
With nearly 800 million people suffering from a scarce supply of clean water worldwide, our advanced membrane filtration is helping municipalities to purify their water supplies. Our technologies are made to comply with the Safe Drinking Water Act and World Health Organization guidelines, and we continue to innovate for the changing needs of tomorrow. Our cost-effective ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis systems make surface water safe to source by removing turbidity, suspended solids, bacteria and viruses. They also provide a positive barrier to contaminents that conventional media filtration cannot guarantee.
Ideal for:
• Ground water
• Surface water
• Brackish water
• Seawater
PFAS
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), including PFOA, PFOS, and other compounds, have been identified as emerging contaminants of concern for both drinking water supplies and wastewater discharge. PFAS-related regulations and guidance are becoming increasingly focused and stringent. Our RO and ion exchange technologies are ideal for removing many of these chemicals from water to reduce detectable levels.
Ideal for:
• Ground water
• Surface water
• Fluorinated manufacturing processes
Desalination
Our filtration and separation solutions for desalination operations on naturally occurring water sources function by removing both suspended and dissolved solids to as low as ultra-pure levels, where required. These methods significantly reduce the waste of water, heat, energy, labor, and cleaning chemicals as compared with conventional technologies, and production quality is improved at lower costs.
Ideal for:
• Seawater
• Brackish water
LEACHATE TREATMENT WITH REVERSE OSMOSIS
Exxro develops and builds reverse osmosis plants to process civil and industrial waters, which through the principle of inversion of water flow from a more concentrated to a less concentrated solution, is able to separate soluble salts and the organic molecules from water.
The Exxro reverse osmosis plants are designed with flat membranes, based on specific customer requirements, to efficiently solve every purification requirement that involves all types of wastewater.
These plants are used to process leachate in landfills, desalinate sea water and purify brackish water, as well as industrial waste water, in order to recycle the purified water in a zero-discharge circuit.
OPTIMISED
Through a very accurate preliminary analysis of the liquid to be treated, the Exxro engineering department develops the best configuration to maximise both quantitative and qualitative results.
MODULAR
Exxro systems are manufactured on customer request and installed inside insulated containers or on specifically designed skids.
AUTOMATED
EXXRO plants are fully automated, complete with remote control systems.
MONITORED
A continuous monitoring system of the output water parameters ensures the safety of the water at the drain according to the legislation discharge table.
